The neural acoustic interface
How It Works
For a hundred years, recorded sound has been delivered to the eardrum and nowhere else. NeuraSeals delivers it to your whole outer ear. That one change is the difference between listening to a recording and standing inside it.
The problem was never fidelity
For a century the audio industry chased accuracy: better drivers, cleaner signal, wider range. And people still sat in front of the finest equipment money could buy and felt the same distance from the music.
The problem was delivery. Headphones, earphones and in-ear monitors aim sound at the ear canal and nowhere else. The outer ear, the part your body uses to decide where a sound is and whether it is real, was left out of the equation entirely.
Your outer ear is an instrument
The folds and ridges you have rarely thought about, the concha, the antihelix, the cymba, are not decoration. Every sound you have ever heard has passed across them, and they shape it differently depending on where it came from: above or below, in front or behind, near or far.
Over a lifetime your brain has learned to read that shaping as location. Researchers call it the head-related transfer function. When a recording bypasses your outer ear, that information never arrives, so the sound sits inside your head. Your brain is not wrong to put it there. It is reporting, accurately, that something is missing.

What NeuraSeals does
A neural acoustic interface is a patented acoustic waveguide system engineered to engage your complete outer ear, not just the ear canal.
It plays an ordinary left and right stereo signal, the same files and streams you already own. No processing. No simulation. No spatial software.
Every pair is moulded from an impression of one person’s ears, because your outer ear is as individual as a fingerprint. No two pairs are the same.

Why your body believes it first
Your body responds to where a sound is before your mind decides what it is. A sound from a specific place triggers the orienting reflex: the head turns and the breath catches before conscious thought has caught up.
It happens in sessions all the time. People turn towards a door knock that exists only in the recording. They reach up to brush away a bee that is not there. Nobody asks them to. It is the oldest part of your listening system doing its job, given complete information for the first time.

Why it begins with a session
Your ears have spent a lifetime receiving an incomplete signal from headphones. Given the full picture, they need a few minutes to learn what they are now receiving.
The Custom Fitting and Listening IRL Session is built around that: an examination to British Society of Audiology recommended procedure, an impression of both outer ears, a short guided calibration, recordings chosen to show what the outer ear can resolve, then film, then your own music. The order matters. Skip the sequence and you hear less.

From impression to your own pair
Your impression becomes the seal of an interface made for you alone. When it is ready, I fit it in person, in Grangemouth or on my next visit to your city, and confirm it seats correctly while you talk and move.
The first thing you hear through your own pair is the full session again. Then your own music, for as long as you like. Nothing is ever posted.
What people say
More than three hundred people have been through a session. Independent of age, profession or musical background, they describe the same three things: realism, presence, connection. Many simply go quiet.
We observe, consistently, what happens. We do not claim to explain why. Watch five of them.
